Publishing Initiatives
The Annual Writers’ Journal is a collection of Jewish women’s writings for the reader and writer.
A showcase publication for Jewish women writers from Jewish communities around the world, The Writers’ Journal portrays the authenticity of Jewish women’s lives, offers enlightenment for day-to-day living and inspiration for a writer’s life.
An original aspect of The Writers’ Journal is the writer’s guide written by Jewish book and magazine publishers, editors and writers; this section addresses the writing process and offers excellent advice for all genres of writing.
The Writers’ Journal – print version – is published after Pesach each year in honor of The Writer’s Journey Seminar, a one-day event in Jerusalem which provides instructional and inspirational workshops to new and experienced writers.
The Writers’ Journal 2009 features 85 new, aspiring, experienced and popular writers from around the world. For mail order details and Jerusalem collection points contact info@lifework.co.il. The photographs in this year’s journal were taken by Dianne Poinski. View her website. Contact her at DiannePoinski@aol.com.
2008 saw the launch of The Writers’ Journal On-Line to bring the spirit of The Writer’s Journal print version to women the world over via email, an exciting and quick way to keep readers and writers inspired and updated on pertinent news.
